Back from crashing at fairestcat's and studying oncampus. Studying went reasonably well; I now have a much better idea what I need to bug my organic TA about. Crashing at Cat's was just dangerous, because she had books I don't: Legends II and Irresistible Forces. I love Asaro's world-building. It's her, ahem, verbing that makes me angry.

Her verbing? I think we've had this discussion, but I'm blanking on the specifics.

Asaro's prose is pretty awful. If she didn't have the fun and interesting worldbuilding going on, I'd never read her. The nifty science kicks her back onto my "snag library copy (eventually)" list.

Lois has stated (not in a book) that Baz' status has been taken care of, ditto Cordelia.
