The baby is asleep, I'm not exhausted, the dishes are done, and it's too late to embark on any new tasks, so it seems like a good time to update livejournal. I've been reading, but a lot of my internetting is done via phone these days, and I don't have the patience to type a whole entry on the teeny tiny keyboard. I don't really have a huge amount

The good news is that I don't think us having been delinquent on getting it fixed led to it being more complicated/expensive to fix.

I am so sad that you had to deal with dog illness while John was away and you were taking care of the baby. That sounds super sad.

Glad that the baptism went well though!

To make it even better, I was coming down with an infection, so by the time he got home I had a 102 fever and chills. And his train from Philly was delayed by a medical emergency and he couldn't get a cab at Union Station. It was a terrible day all around.

How did the dog sprain its knee?
The dog/baby walking is a winner though - it turns out The Boy actually learnt to walk whilst holding on to two dogs, so it's clearly a high-impact learning experience or something.

We think he stepped awkwardly while jumping to the window to guard the housefrom someone walking by with a wheely suitcase

Goodness me, what a day! Are you all feeling better now? I know the Doggie is. :)

My mom said she used to just want to cut armholes in pillowcases for those "in between" stages - or in brown paper grocery sacks! Hee hee! Keep growing, small person, so we can fit you into clothes better!
