Perhaps I'm the vast minority I usually turn on the TV on 24/7x4 'news' channels. but today I know what it's going to be. Granted it's usually the same 3 three things over and over again. Variety! but you see what going on you, turn it off you move on. They get my eye-balls for a few minutes, I get 'entertained', all is well. Now it's going to be one thing:
"HURRICANE!!! AHHHH!!"Panic / freaking out! keeps people glued. Again holding that my theory is true, they will only be talking about one thing. Is there anything more important going on? Probably not, but since it's New York they will do it to the exclusion of whatever else is going on, to truly sick degree

i.e. the media is not the free market because Joe Citizen cannot start a T.V. station from scratch without it being approved, regulated, and controlled by 46 different federal agencies ?
