Why do people always describe this or that as an 'Illegal War'?
"… blah blah … got us involved/perpetuated an Illegal War …"
They often like to say it with a sense of indignation too.
I find it amusing.
I get hung up on the whole 'Illegal' part.
Why not "… blah blah blah … got us into/perpetuated a war?!"
I guess the wordiness of 'illegal' does

I don't know quite what to take away from that.
The idea still just seems to take very real consequences and takes them to a realm of semantically quibbled legalese.
To that end, Isn't that act is unconstitutional and illegal, assuming people are still playing the constitution game?

… and by 'serious threat' they mean if we're bored/angry, Somebody insulted the President/(s)he needs a diversion, international penis envy?

Is this the illegal part?
Not the legitimacy of the threat, but it not being a sustained thing.
