It has to be either John or Paul, and for me John wins but just barely; his solo career, even though it was shorter, gave us more gems.

i always go for george, just because no one else does and i never wanted him to have low self esteem.

'Set on George' ascii_70_85 October 12 2005, 02:00:43 UTC
That's a good answer, or it amused me anyway.
I had an old friend who thought George was the best... it made no sense to me... maybe she thought he was pretty.

As per 'pity' (or at least the Beatle version), I'd think Ringo would be more worthy. Though supposedly at some point in the 70's his solo career was more lucrative than the others {shrugs} or I think that's how I heard it... {shrugs again}.

but Ringo was on Shining Time Station, so he did SOMETHING after the beatles! poor old George, what did he do?!

i think george is funny looking, just for the record, yet i stand by my choice!

'All Things Must Pass' (a triple album) which was supposedly a big to do {shrugs}, The Concert for Bangladesh, then he had a hit in the mid 80's with "Set On You".

I've often heard his 'look' described as 'haggard'. He does (or did), indeed look funny.
It was not my intention to dissuade you {amused}.

I liked Weird Al's "Six Words Long" better than "Set on You" and I always feel a little bit bad for George because of that.

For whatever it's worth, George didn't write it. It's a catchy tune... but whenever I hear it... I hear 'six words long' {smirk}.

I haven't compared them side by side... I own 'Even Worse' (Yankovich album it's on), I probably favor this version as well.
