They have to make room for it. Like Topher had to take Echo out of Paul's brain, they have to take something out to make room for the new knowledge. I think.
Understand the paradigm. Just remarking that if the typical Doll goes crazy when they overload their brain, they did a really poor job of explaining that.

Also enjoying the idea of Flash-drives {eye-roll}.
So currently we have say the largest widely available flash drive is say {… looks up … } 128GB !?! {I don't have a regular drive that big, if you took all my drives they still might not be that much!}

Granted it's science FICTION, so impossible to calculate how much capacity would be required to store human memory/skill, but I'm thinking it would be more opposed to less? Petabytes? (1015, the next thing above terabytes) Yottabytes (1024)?

Assuming said robo-call event happens in 2012, that leaves 2 years to develop such tools. Then again they have better tools now, and likely even better tools in (2012).

I then thought that such things would not continue to be developed after the apocalypse, but supposing there was a great enough demand (see survival), this would raise the "price" or bargaining power, of being able to produce such things, so perhaps production while very difficult could go on with a limited scale, maybe even research and development as well? The tech continue to develop?

I also suppose a case can be made for form factor.
e.g. BluRay discs look like CDs but hold say 64x as much. Maybe they are using crazy futuristic thingies with the same dimensions.
Still seems strange to use common place props instead of something else different. Then again science FICTION. I can let it be, but it irritates a little.

The Asian chick is a Whedon!
Yeah she helped write the episode, the previous Epitaph, and Horrible.
Also KILO from earlier episodes, the "guinea pig Doll". They stun and wipe with the new tech.
She also sings the song at the end of E1, etc. etc.
She's inclusive in The Other Whedons mention in the previous post, somewhere.

SOB.
The Xander thing was pretty vicious too.
But yeah Wash, … and they wonder why they didn't get a sequel?
Yeah we want to see the rest of the crew violently killed and maimed -- entertainment.
They killed Book, Wash, Mr. Universe, the cowboy-ism, the earthy color scheme …
I think they also wounded the lighting director, as well as whoever remembered there was no sound in space.

Dead from gas. Or eaten.
Nah.
Whiskey (Acker) is seen gassing a room full of butchers. However, Whedon feels that perhaps she is just putting them to sleep and will clean up and continue protecting the Dollhouse as always. If this is the case, it raises the interesting possibility that all the events of the episode have happened before or will again
She knows how to take care of herself. There was a hole in the ceiling so it's possible this has happened before.

I prefer to think Alpha wiped her …
She was already wiped {smirk}.
… or maybe she just lost it trying to understand the whole Boyd thing.

… and she went back to original self when the pulse went out.
I AM curious what happened to her, but also/more? curious what her deal was …

200?
Somebody joined the Dollhouse, becomes WHISKEY 1.1

2008?
α:ALPHA incident, now she's Dr. Saunders whatever that is.

2009
She leaves the 'house.
Does she play house with Boyd? or does Boyd play 'house with her?
What about her and Boyd?

2010
She returns retooled as a sleeper. Then becomes Clyde, is then "recaptured".

201?
She returns to the house sans scars, before the exodus.
She is Saunders? but restored from what point? How?

2019
She remains in the house sans personality.

It's all a big "What the Fuck!?"
Not to mention the double emphasis on her real pre-wiped personality for some undetermined reason?
The would've-been Season 3? After she gets killed off Happy Town?

He didn't need actual tech from the Dollhouse, he needed his bedroom with all his crazy notes!
He opened a blank notebook(?)
Then again crazy … so anything goes.

Especially with Alpha, the king of remote wipes.
He was the king? {smirk}

;_; I think it was more .. suicide than anything. Topher was just..fuck it.
Granted if you have the power to fix things people have to bargain with you/do what you want to win your favor, but still if things get broken again, maybe Topher won't be there to fix it. If α:ALPHA was wiped? does he retain those skills?

Maybe ask Mr.Kranz if/when you fell like bothering him
(assuming you're still doing that).

I like to pretend that Whiskey was hiding up in Adelle's office and managed to get Topher out of the way before the pulse and that is what happened. >___>
That sort of cheats the audience.

Then again Spike and the Buffy Finale …
Which sadly I (and many) knew the ultimate outcome about before it happened.
So big loss, there. That would've ticked me off, had I not known.

We see Topher blow up, it's pretty hard to duck that one.
I suppose we don't see him.
Blast could knock him down no fatal force at ground zero, just x many feet out (2 meters?). Sadly that's somehow more plausible to me.

Anyway that all seems a bit far-fetched,
Though …
Boyd swiped some of ECHO's spinal fluid business, while he was her handler, sent it back to some branch of Rossum, and the inject himself with a pilot vaccine. While he lost control to the tabula rasa imprint temporarily, he then was able to reassert his control, and somehow had a blast proof panic room, he was able to duck into.
He survived so the story could eventually figure out what the fuck? or some quasi-plausible explanation for such beyond random audience fuck-ery of:
" 'um Yeah, he's kinda a sociopath -- that's all, that simple."

Paul being in Echo's head is so, so, super creepy.
To an extent I agree.
but I can see the romantic (read as ¿sad and insecure?) side as well. It all depends upon how ECHO experiences her imprints. Could be Paul lives 'forever'. Could be Paul actually judges her, dislikes, and rejects her?
But she is Paul? or just has Paul, or just knows what he would have thought? in 2009, via α:ALPHA or α:ALPHA's version of him? It can be whatever you want it to be? twisted.
