Farewell, Neal Caffrey.

The series finale of White Collar aired yesterday and I've watched it just now. I'll be cutting pretty soon so don't worry but there is one thing I need to say outside of a cut: I'm so gonna miss this show! I can't believe it's over, it's so unfair *sighs*

Thankfully my beloved piksa and I have planned a rewatch of the whole series, starting from ( Read more... )

white collar, sort of review, ramblings

when neal shot the dummy i was wondering what he was up to and the the tussle with keller and I was pretty sure Neal was faking. but then the morgue scene had me skeptical. I didn't start crying until mozzie and peter were talking over the cards. and of course when we find out that the baby was named neal.

i'm so sad that neal ended up alone in paris, apart from the weird little family he'd built.

and why would mozzie be still hanging around randomly in nyc when he has all that cash?

interesting ending to say the least!

oh yeah, pilot!neal was the absolute best part :D

I think I was so convinced that Rebecca's words had been foreshadowing that I let myself be fooled easily into thinking he was really dead. They even showed his body at the morgue! They totally had me for a few minutes there.

Yeah, me too. And he loved NY so much! Of course I'm sure they can definitely organize a trip to Paris to see Neal but it won't be a day-to-day interaction anymore and that's really sad :(

I guess because NYC was his and Neal's home and it's the closest he can be to Neal.... and he'd wanted to go back to basics and now he can run his little scam without worrying about the money. He just does it 'cause he likes it.

*clings back* I hate that it's over :( I'm happy they gave Neal a nice send off even if it's definitely a bittersweet one. Can't say I'm disappointed by the ending and that's definitely a good thing.

I suspected a con from the moment he shot the dummy. (And maybe I had one too many Sherlock-flashbacks ... ;-))
I think I was too in shock for seeing Neal with a gun (!!!) to actually turn on my brain and realize it had to be a con of some sort. And OMG the Sherlock parallels were so many!!!!! The biggest one: disappearing to keep the PP off the people Neal loves the most! Wow... it's almost plagiarism! LOL

So Mozzie had to believe too. Now with them safely stored away, I can see Neal getting in contact with him again, though. :)
Definitely. I'm sure Mozzie will be on the first plane to Paris as soon as he can. No way he would ever stay in NYC if Neal's alive somewhere else :)

*huggles*

When Peter sat on that chair and cried, it felt like someone was digging my heart out with a dull spoon. But somehow I still kept hoping. Would have probably been a total wreck otherwise.

Yeah, I *was* a total wreck there :( I can't lie and say there wasn't a tiny little voice in my head telling me that there was still hope but it so looked like my worst fears were coming true and they showed Neal's body in the morgue! For a few minutes there, I believed he might truly be dead... it was awful :(

If there were no bullets in the gun Neal used and Keller then took, how come no-one noticed that?

That's a good question... I have no idea!

I also want to believe that Mozzie found out already earlier but he's just such a good con-man that he was able to play his role to perfection. He had to stay behind in NYC for a while not to arouse suspicion. If he had disappeared at the same time, there might have been questions. Since he was already planning on heading for Paris, he had to go and visit Peter's house immediately when he was invited ( ... )
