I'm speaking from beyond the grave here because there is no way I survived that trailer.

The way he says that he's stomping on the dead bodies ... *shivers*

You know what really struck me about the new trailer? Benedict's character doesn't come across as sinister as in the other teasers. His threats don't seem to come from a place of crazy (like with Moriarty). There is a deep sadness surrounding him. Oh, Benedict, you'll kill me (again).

They don't. When he says, "You have done something I cannot forgive," it's clear he has a motive for acting like he does. I even think I remember Ben saying his character's action cannot be justified (terrorism never can) but he has a reason for doing what he does. That's the best kind of villain imo! Someone you can even empathize with but who's evil nonetheless. I bet he's brilliant playing all the different sides of "Harrison" :)

Don't know if it is wrong or just me being biased, but I find myself caring more for Harrison and his loss than Star Fleet and the people he destroyed with his terrorist acts.

Ok, this? YES. All of it. Just yes. Especially the part about being hit in the chest. He kills me with every word and I haven't even heard a full dialogue yet! The bits and pieces of sentences the trailers and teasers have given us already speak of a brilliant performance, and I realize they're *nothing* compared to the actual movie. And people still marvel at the fact that, instead of focusing on the established characters, the posters and the trailers are all about Ben. What's to marvel about? They've seen his performance in the whole and can't help but put him front and center because he's a show stealer!

And yes, you're biased. We both are! LOL

Vegas was awesome! It was my first trip and seeing the Grand Canyon was definitely the highlight. It's a spiritual place. That's really the only way I can describe it. :)

Vegas is more of a long-weekend type city, though. I don't have the kind of stamina I used to! lol A week was a bit much, but it was fabulous.

The SPN con was fun, too. I'm kind of over the fandom now, but it's always nice to sit back and appreciate the pretty.
