LOL! Yep, everything has wank potential lately but nothing it's like the eternal 'canon vs fanon' debacle!!!! Better steer clear... ;P
Things are quiet here, and it's not always a bad thing *g* Summer is not my most favourite time of the year, but I make do. I missed you!!! Hope everything's well with you :D
I adore your Gwaine obsession. Never ceases to make me smile.
What I don't understand about the canon/fanon divide is: if something isn't supplied in canon and a writer makes it up, is that fanon? Or is fanon only that which goes against canon? I don't get the divide! (You're a safe person to ask. *g*)
What can I say? I love Merlin's boyfriend the guy *g*
To be quite honest, I'm not really an expert on the subject but I think both your options can be considered fanon. Things that canon does not supply and someone makes up are definitely fanon (and sometimes, if the Author is well known and the story is well written, people will start considering those things the Author made up as actual canon and that will stir up a wank caused by the canon!police... eh.) OTOH, everything that goes against canon or chooses not to acknowledge something that happened in canon (for example: Drusilla is NOT Spike's Sire, you hear me??? *g*) is considered fanon.

See? THAT is what I most associate with fanon! But I guess the others are fanon, too. Good point about Spike's sire! That makes sense, as fanon. Yeah, ok. I think I understand this a bit better. :) Thanks! (It can be a headache.)
Yep, a headache is right. And I seriously don't get what the fuss is all about... but then again, when there's wank, I rarely understand where both sides are coming from. A fault of mine, perhaps...

It's a slippery slope...
