Tax - Bah, humbag n'all

Mar 24, 2006 14:10

My last paycheck was full of penalty hours, which means more money (YAY!)
Unfortunately, it also means more tax :(
WTF? They grabbed like a quarter of my pay!
*cries*
Better be a decent return for this year.

This angst was brought to you by the word rant and the (dis)organisation of yours truly.

Hmm, ice cream and chocolate are your Ye Olde Staples. It sounds like mynxii is making some, but it doesn't hurt to have some regardless :) Health side of things (because I demand it :P): Makings for chicken/avadado/salad probably wouldn't hurt, if you're not sick of it yet. *gets faintly adventurous* Or something communal and laughter making like fresh spring rolls?

*develops a sudden craving for Turkish bread* *demands* *G* I don't know how A will be feeling, but I'm an available set of hands for chopping things if you feel like making an effort ;)

Also, A was saying that she couldn't get the BSG CDs to play on her laptop: it was demanding an updated version of what was possibly Quicktime, or at least a freeware media player. I explained about the Big Damn Pipe, and the not-to-be-sneezed at Flashdrive and said we'd do your our best. Just a heads up. :)

I *love* the chicken and avocado salad and would also be happy to organise the fresh spring rolls again.

More shopping!

Darn, I should have burnt her VLC while we were at it.

Owch.
You didn't tick the 'tax free threshold' box? Or something nasty about you conditions?

Or maybe you're just in an evil tax bracket

Yeah, the $21-$61k bracket (damn, that's a big bracket) - as you get higher in it, the amount of relief from the TFT becomes less significant. :(
