On spoilers

It's strange really. I prefer to be as unspoiled as possible when watching something. It's always nice to be unspoiled and go "Wow!" at some unexpected turn of events ( Read more... )

I think my spoiling for Doctor Who was a bit different (well, for the specials at least) as I was watching concurrently with the U.K. release and my spoilers consisted of set reports (I even went myself! Removed the link as my real name is on the pics). The only way to stay unspoiled once it has aired is to stay off the net. Okay for one day, but quite unfeasible for a longer period of time.

With Sherlock I soak in every kind of spoiler, including plot spoilers. I just can't help myself... I want to stay away, but I can't. I'll just hope that the set "reporters" will keep the real spoilers to themselves (I know I did with DW! And the people I met in Cardiff and discussed it with all kept it to themselves as well.)

The spoilers released to day make me want to jump and shout, but that would be a bit indecent :) So I'll just do that on the inside.
