Negima!?

I think I've rarely been so stupefied by an anime. Today my boyfriend found this: Negima!? It seems to be a strange, WTF, AU version of Negima (based on the manga by Akamatsu Ken). The character designs are a bit on the crazy side, the gags and angles remind me of FLCL and some scenes and sequences of KareKano. I pretty much sat there with my mouth

I watched 3/4ths of it...Mostly got on my nerves... I've only ever seen like 1/10th of a few eps of the original (mostly the ending song XD), so I can't tell the difference. I liked the FLCL ish bit where Asuna's head imploded.

I like Akamatsu Ken and so I've seen all of the original series. To my surprise it did develop a dramatic story towards the end :) So I'm kinda looking forward to this crazed up, toned down remake now.

It's based off the Negima!? spin-off manga. I like this much better. :)
