My Daily WTF

WTF is the connection between online craft shops and fundamentalist Christianity? Seriously I have to do all this craft crap for work and every freaking one of these stores has "Make a WWJD BEADED NECKLACE" or "Bible Crafts". Alternatives are welcome. Where in the New Testament Bible does it discuss American Flags, teddy bears in sundresses, ( Read more... )

This is what the God-fearin' men-respectin' girlie-women who stay in their homes barefoot and pregnant like good obedient little stepford housewives do to keep from going insane. It's the same reason they teach people in lunatic asylums basketweaving.

There's a total correlation between plastic landyards and accepting Jesus as your personal savior. Totally.

Ooo, what kind of craft crap do you have to do? Are you working with a theme or anything? I'm a craft nut, I bet I can think of something.

I need like 10 ideas for preteen-teen crafts that are under $3/per person to make (about $35 for a craft for 12 kids and not something super sucky or lame or involving popsicle sticks)

-Mosiacs (don't have to use ceramic tiles; try random beads or tiddlywinks or something like that)
-Collage (because everyone wants to put Bush's head onto Godzilla)
-Decorate your own whatever. Doorhanger, model cars, anything that you can put a name on, lightswitch plates, maybe something shaped like a license plate, cookies, personalized flags for the coming revolution, whatever.

Um. . .I'll keep thinking. I dunno if any of these are super sucky, but maybe it'll spark some creativity. I'm trying to remember what my mom does in her elementary class that wouldn't take too much prep.

We have Michael's locally. They sell Noah's Ark rug hook kits with bible verses on the box. I will definitely check those links out. I am super desperate for craft ideas at this point. I hate crafting.
