Fic: Remix 2007 unveiled (Supernatural; gen)

Well, it's that time of year again. remix_redux has been open for a week, and it's time to confess to who wrote what. I've already mentioned what a challenge I found this year's remix, but in the end I settled upon, and became very fond of, an AU story exploring what might have happened in Dean's and Sam's little world had one key detail of their past

Wow, now that's feedback and a half. Thank you! I feel complimented indeed, especially since you're talking about my writing in general, and not just this one story.

That said, this one was tough to write, so I really am glad you enjoyed it. I worried I was laying on a little thick at times, but essentially there were elements of the unreliable narrator at play I suppose, as well as a deep seated hurt at being left behind. Family is *so* important to Dean, and being shut out like this, even if it was for his own good... he just couldn't see that or accept it.

Wow,even though it's a different path for Dean you still bought out the Deanness we know. I also love the achingness and anger you conveyed in him wanting to be included with Mary and Sams closeness but always excluded.
Doesn't lose any of it's punch on rereading either.
