I'm in charge of making root veggie strudels and a nut dish-it was supposed to be Renn Faire-style sweet nuts but turned out to be almond brittle. (I put too much water in my simpe syrup so it turned to caramel before it evaporated onto the nuts.) Still tasty though, and now I know how to make almond brittle. :P
Fancy! Maybe we should institute a policy of rotating in one new dish per year. I love the old standbys, but there's a lot you can do within the bounds of autumnal foods.
