Vista -> Win 7

Upgrade disc arrived. Got it going last night - I started the actual upgrading between 00.00 and 00.30. Left it on overnight (new machine is soooo nice and quiet) It is now 13.52 and it's at 64

It's been a while since I installed anything Microsoftish, but if I were to suggest a clean install with format C: and all, would I get laughed at?

From what I've heard it checks that the PC is running a genuine copy of Vista before it'll install.

I don't know about upgrades, but a full fresh install of Win7 on my laptop took like 15 minutes o___O;;

I've heard this from others - there's apparently something VERY wrong with the Vista to 7 upgrade, a clean install is infinitely better. But I'm pretty sure the upgrade disk checks that you're running Vista before it'll do the install and won't do it otherwise...
