I went to a funeral the other day. He was a friend of my parents who had moved to America when I was still young. We were somewhere in South Africa at the time, leading a nomadic life, and he wrote us a letter saying he had left Poland for New York. i'm sort of the same way when it comers to funerals. i read the obituaries if i come across them, but i don't search for them. i got a call for paris as well so hopefully we'll see each other there!

I have a friend and her father specifically said he didn't want a funeral, and I really think not having that final goodbye made the loss a lot harder on her. You need closure, funerals offer that. Did you? Call me, I'll take you out for coffee, we'll catch up.

I wonder if that's a sign that I should branch out and interact with more non-models. Or more people in general.
