Damn, I can't believe I missed the detail that it was a particular type of butterfly--especially since you gave much such a nice HR file, I should have easily been able to see the skull shape! And I know about the death's-head types, too. Knowing you, I should have paid more attention to the design on the wings. *g*
That's interesting about the glass--though I know they're an influence from Beardsley, it feels like I can see an echo of a stained-glass feel in the feathers at the tops of Angela's wings, but I may wrong about that...? I'm intrigued that the moon wasn't intended to be there are first--it makes such an effective, intruding curve against the ones of the windowframe!
I still love how well-arranged this is, how the design and use of b&w mean that the eye doesn't see Angela's head under it's far too late and they've already been drawn into the 'world' or the picture, and it jolts even more because of that. ♥♥♥
Okay, okay, I'm sure you've had enough of my gushing ( ... )

It's intriguing seeing JUST how much work the moon was (dot dot dot is such an understated way of saying it)!! And I did love how both the people in the picture just "appeared". Makes me think that you think of people as being a "whole thing" and don't think of other things while you're finishing someone. *laughs*
It's fun to see everything in the order you actually did them...
