Because a girl can only do so much between hormones, too little sleep all week and not eating for 15 hours because of a clusterfuck with our delivery order from a new restaurant. But some of it was good crying! And some of it was just melodramatic.

any sport where there's an equal possibility of going home with a souvenir or a black eye from a foul ball is always a good time.

HA! I <3 baseball. I remember taking a friend who isn't really a baseball fan with me to a game where I had tickets about 4 rows back on the third baseline just about directly across from the base and saying, "listen. You have to pay attention to what's going on on the field. You could DIE here."

I think she thought I was joking, until the first foul ball came flying over our heads... ;)

Baseball is pretty awesome. My first date ever was to a baseball game that I won tickets to in a dance contest! True story. And walkingshadow and I had tickets three rows behind home plate in Atlanta a couple of times, and besides the amazing view, there are valets in that section who bring you beer and nachos. It was pretty much the best thing ever.

Seriously though, the hubby has always loved the Rays, but their crazy September comeback made me one too. It's a huge amount of fun, and you can see the strategies and calculations that happen after a while. <3 Baseball!
