Maybe it's because I wasn't exactly surrounded by happy adult relationships growing up, so to have someone around whom I can relax completely, who I can discuss things with without yelling, who gives and takes equally with me was such a huge deal. I've had relationships before him, but nothing that felt easy and good - they always felt like work, friction in personalities, unequal for some reason. Is it boring that I like to just be quietly happy?

Hee! He's wonderful, but in his own quiet way, you know? And as I mentioned above, I think this is the most balanced relationship I've experienced in the real world, boring as it may seem. I've dated the bad boy, and mostly they're needlessly reckless and extremely needy. With him, it may be comparatively boring, but it's so much more fulfilling.
