Living in fear

If a presidential campaign is trying to leverage fear to win an election.. isn't that pretty obvious they'll utilize fear as a strategy in office?

Historically.. I'm curious if there was ever a debate in which 'he's a terrorist' was ever used. Dated of course. Was a president ever called by his opponent a 'redcoat in disguise'? He's got secret ties with england?

I was deeply offended by the stupidity of McCain supporters the past couple weeks. Though now he's supposedly issued a form of apology to Obama... and blamed Palin for all of the attacks.. Anyways, here's a link to the article.. I think that he is pretty much out of the race at this point.

Ultimately, the Republican's are kind of imploding right now. They know they're kind of screwed for this upcoming election and they're all handling it kind of differently. Some are sad and depressed, others see it as a fitting consequence and legitimately dislike where the country's ended up, and a good many of them are fighting against it with tooth and nail. It's to kind of be expected, they've enjoyed eight years of pretty much unopposed rule thanks to 9/11 and the War on Terror and now they're seeing it all backfire.

If it makes you feel any better, McCain made some effort to calm things down a bit a few days ago. I don't know if he's still trying, as his campaign seems to have multiple personality disorder, but at least not everyone on that side of the aisle is supporting this kind of behavior.
