A new-to-me Artist

You simply MUST go look at this woman's artwork. It is amazing. The way she incorporates light in her paintings is beautiful. And hutch0 says it is even MORE wonderful in person. They are of a rather dark nature, so if that is offensive to you, be warned. But many of them look like they could be depicting this area.

Anyway, here is her webpage

The best compliment I think I could send her way, is there is nothing like her work out there! I see a wee bit of Maxfield Parrish in some of her colour ( spelled for effect...btw I actually said chuffed in a sentence last week, my husband looked at me side-ways...well that's what he gets for letting me make daily on line international travels ) choices, but totally unique.
As for the one you said could be right where you live, it looks so much like Scotland, it could be here in New Hampshire at a place called The Basin too..I'll have to take photos.
Thanks for the link, her work is amazing.

HAHA spell-check said I spelled colour wrong!

I love it that you said "chuffed!" It is such a great word, isn't it? :)

I told hutch0 the very same thing about the artist's work reminding me of Maxfield Parrish!

Glad you liked Anne's artwork. She is a great gal and we love her husband Warren too. Don't get to see them too often since the ocean separates us but her art work hangs outside my office so she is always in our thoughts.

I'll see if I can pull the pics from the household inventory database and send them to you. I think there are 0 or 11 of them that we have.

Glad to hear you've discovered Annie! She and Warren are very dear friends of ours, and indeed I wrote the text for the first book of her art. She's a wonderful artist.

"You know, you have the coolest friends... Janis Ian, and Anne"

Don't tell 'em you think that or they'll get big-headed.
