I'm only a page or two away from finishing my first book of the year. Yeah, I fell asleep but it *was* 4:00AM so I didn't want to push it to wake myself up! Thanks. I was waiting for you to tell more about this book.

Yeah, I think especially for those who grew up in the church, it is really hard for most to separate church culture and "doing church" from real Christianity (i.e. a relationship with Messiah).

It sounds like an awesome book. Wish I could pick it up and start reading right now. :-) Thanks for sharing.

Oh, I wish you could, too, "Mattie!" It is a remarkable book. It takes the Bible and brings it to life -- the way it was meant to be, I believe.

Ha-ha! You don't have to use quotation marks. Mattie is the name I go by around here. :-)

I LOVE this book - read it early release and agree with everything it says. I do go to church, as you know (to several). But...I do believe that the organized churches as we know them are mostly "dead" in ritual, religion and tradition. Imho, most folks go to church to relieve guilt, which is NOT acknowledgement of sin, acknowledgement of the truth that only Jesus Christ can remit our sins and only Jesus Christ can give us a true road to God and eternal life. I'm so happy you read it and yep, it turned my world right side up too. WE are indeed the church!
