We've made a significant change to our lives in the last 24 hours. I now have a LifeAlert pendant that I wear all the time. It makes Bear and I both feel safer, though I now feel like an old bird! You know that commercial that used to play..."I've fallen and I can't get up!" Well, it's not so funny now

What a wonderful idea! In fact, don't you think that would be a good thing for any one who lived by themselves? Me for instance, if I ever had an intruder and my phone wasn't nearby, or if I were accosted in the streets, it would be a nice, discreet way to get help!

I agree. If I was living on my own as a single woman in a large city, I would definitely feel safer having one!

Great idea. When they first came out I think late 80's, we sold them. They were very expensive, but now it's very affordable. Hopefully you will never have to use it.
