Challenge 012: Second Chances.

The idea for challenge 012 is not mine. It comes from the wonderful mind of aesc! And so, without further ado, let me copy/paste her challenge:
Second Chances.
Not quite a remix, but not quite starting from scratch, either, "Second Chances" allows you to rework an existing piece of your fic or art... using the prompt provided by your partner. In "Second Chances," the writer picks a story of their own and sends it to the artist, while the artist picks a piece of their own art and sends it to the writer. The writer rewrites the fic with a new perspective brought by the art, while the artist reworks the art to incorporate ideas or images suggested by the fic.
Rules:

» other than the team makeup, none, really. When reworking your piece, you should try to keep in mind that the remixed version should bear some relationship to the material supplied by your partner.
Example:
» author and fic: aesc, The Home Front
» artist and art: newkidfan, Nevermind
» Ae. sends Mel the link to the fic, and Mel sends Ae. the link to the art.
» Ae. rewrites "Home Front" with the new perspective provided by "Nevermind" (for example, setting the fic after the events suggested by "Nevermind," having John be more possessive/angry about his family's reactions to his homosexuality). Meanwhile, Mel reworks "Nevermind" to include some details from "Outcast," and sets the art in a conversation John has with Dave, rather than in the control chair.
Challenge closes August 1st around 5pm CEST. (?)

Quick FAQ: 1. There's no deadline for entering the challenge. 2. You can post your work as soon as you're done, i.e. whenever during the course of the month. 3. You can enter the challenge twice as long as it's with a different person. 4.
