Terrific story! Very ACTIONY. I love the ending -- complaining he couldn't sleep while his colleagues were watching him. *vbg*

Oh, fireman!John!! I love firemen :-) Especially one - met him during the floods, he was wading through the water to me and I was dragging that damn sand-sack, it was a dark and stormy night and then I lifted my head and our eyes met and all that stuff... *sighs* Seriously, the gorgeous guy ever. And of course, I´ve never seen him again. *kicks fate and envies Rodney* Although, he forgot his flashlight, so at least I have some reminder of my really really tragic love affair.. :-)

Also, wow, this is long!

I know! It took me all of last week to write! *groans* Although I'll have to admit I was procrastinating like whoa. ;)

Wow, how tragic. I'm sure he kept stumbling around for days looking for his flashlight you. *marvels*

Hiya.

Sadly, I have no time to read it right now, but I'll print it and read on the bus. If I forget to leave a comment feel free to poke me.

Okay, I've finally read it, and what a wonderful read it was.

You managed to catch the boys voices perfectly -you manage that when you write pea-porn, so it's not a big surprise-. I wanted to kick Rodney on the way back to the train -I don't want to kick Rodney often, but this time he was at his most annoying-, and John afterwards - seriously, what a jerk!-. I loved that you didn't make either of them the ultimate hero, saving the cheerlead--, erm, saving all the people, and rather chose to put them in a believable scenario with death and loss and hurt and Tony -I like Tony :).

So, thank you for sharing, hon.*hugs*

*goes off to start on your layout*

saving the cheerlead--, erm, saving all the people

*rofl*

Yeah, I figured I had to kill someone. Or several someones. And write guys being guys (i.e. jerks). ;)

Glad you liked Tony. *beams*

And yay! Layout!

Yay! Disaster movie AU! As a frequent city-bus patron, I completely understand Rodney's 'I know them, but I don't really know them' observations. Their fumbling in the dark tunnels was marvelously tense and I shared their relief at finally finding daylight again. Then, of course, came the real sucker punch but I'm glad there was a happy ending after all. Lovely work.

Thank you! Did I mention I was incredibly nervous about this one? So I'm really, really glad you like it. :D

The whole thing was so amazing. I loved Rodney in this. So awkward and clueless and out of his depth in the entire situation. And I love that when John screws him over he just gets up and walks away. Go Rodney! John had better treat him right from now on.

I thought that after the day he's just had, Rodney wouldn't really have the energy to explode again. :)

*snuggles*
