"Hey, Mark, I need your signature on this. That new director doing the historical film in Virginia can't deal with paperwork to save his life so...." Joanne walks into the Loft and blinks. "Blast. I'm so sorry. I thought Mark and Roger were home."
By the time Jane registers the presence of another person, she's actually being addressed. It works out. "Don't worry about it. No idea where Roger disappeared to, but Mark said he'd be back at some point. Think he's gonna try to wait for the worst of the paint fumes to clear out, though, so it may be a while."
"Oh. I didn't realize there was going to be painting. I guess I can wait." She laughs and puts the papers down on what she rather hopes is a surface that will ramain paint-free. But then again, the director in Virginia probably wouldn't really mind.
"Don't think I've seen you around before. Are you one of Mark's newer aquisitions?" She means it in the best way possible. "I'm Joanne. Then again, I still keep forgetting that I don't need to introduce myself because everyone's seen the film."
"I'm Jane. Not an acquisition so much as a friend who heard he could use a little redecorating. Been meaning to get in here for a while now, but first school got in the way on my end, and then we kept missing each other, so I'm just now getting in here." There are plans about the place. Jane's been working on this for a while now, and it might show.
