Yay neuters! I wanted something at least a little different from the norm...not that a neuter section is really all the original... XD Yay for telepaths! Wheee!
Dude if drawing hurts you need to stop (including typing and using a mouse or controller) and let the inflammation go down/heal. I didnt, and my career is now at risk.
I know....but now I actually want to draw! This had come up before Art Slam and I'll admit it's getting kind of hard to hold the pen for more than 10-20 minutes. I take breaks and so on....it usually takes me all day to finish the doodle I'm doing for Art Slam.... XD That's better than constantly doing it...right? >.>
... unfortunately, while it is good that you are not constantly drawing, the nature of this kind of injury means you are reinforcing the damage every time you repeat the activity. I pulled back drasticly but still went to work and did some work in my studio 5 days a week, and five months later it still hurt badly. Even with two OT and one LMP visits a week plus huge doses of perscription meds every day, the improvement was fragile and minor.
I took a month off, and that helped a lot, but I worked on it long enough that I will be receiving surgery and be off of work for a while more, plus perhaps another year or so of rehab if I'm being honest. I hope, but do not fully believe, that someday I will be pain free again.
I know you're trying to put your nose to the grindstone and improve, that is admirable, but remember that working through pain now to gain an inch of improvement and recognition may deny you miles and miles in the near future.
I know....the only slight bonus is I don't plan on going into art as a career....but it still denies me the use of my hand/arm. It sucks to sit there and not find a comfortable way to put my arm....what's worse is I realized it's my job that is the stem of this problem. I don't know if I getting tennis elbow along with carpal tunnel or what....either way it sucks.
For now I'm taking it light, not pushing myself to finish an image. Hell for the past three days I've worked on the same image...I feel so slow! XD
Oh my goodness they have pouches! <3 I admit, I was not expecting their bodies to look that way - and I adore them. Those big feet! As always, your world is amazingly thought out. Always a pleasure to read. :) I really hope your wrists feel better. Take it easy and don't push yourself too much. :(
Oooh ooh what were you expecting their bodies to look like?! I wanna know, I wanna know! Thank you for your kind comments...and all I did was do the Shnn and not even all of it. I haven't even gotten into the human involvement or the war that is currently going on! :O
I'll try not to push myself but Art Slam makes me WANT to draw and explore my world.... *sadface*
I know....and I do take it quite seriously. To me it's not a joke and over the past year it has steadily getting worse despite the fact that I haven't played really any video games. Now they go numb throughout the day and hold the pen and draw sends a deep ache up my forearm and into my upper arm. It makes me take frequent breaks...kinda sucks. I may have to start taking my Ibuprofen more often than only on days I work and more than once a day. :/
Thank you for the comment on the pouches. I wanted a different way for these guys to give birth but I also didn't feel like drawing balls and vulvas as I get kind of squeamish... XD I though this would be an interesting way to go and it also lets me explore new ways of bonding beyond sex which is nice.

That aside, the pouch womb is a super neat idea, and really adds to the realistic biology so far.
