Happy International Workers' Holiday, everyone! Since I'm not really a worker right now, I didn't plan anything fancy. I guess I'm celebrating International Self-unemployed Layabouts' Holiday.

I finished printing my new zine, and I'll tell you, I really miss the Vandercook. They are much easier to print on than the C&P, although I'll also accept ( Read more... )

I'm with him. I really don't. I also hate it when people retell their dreams to me in a tone and inflection as if it was true. That's so annoying. However, I find my dreams quite amusing.

I find other people's dreams fascinating, but I've noticed that I'm in the minority in that.

I think people in general, and especially men, aren't very interested in hearing about others. We're a very self absorbed society.

I'm not a fan of dream telling in general, but I find dreams-as-literature interesting. The act of writing them down often structures them enough that they become interesting to others, whereas an unstructured retelling is often too disjointed to hold me attention.

A friend of mine catalogs dreams on the net, often with visual art attached. http://www.worlddreambank.org/

I think it depends entirely on how the dream is told. Lots of people tell a dream as though every detail is important.. and then the dream-telling goes on and on forever. It's hard to keep paying attention.

If only the most important details or gist is given, then yeah, it can be pretty interesting. Like "whoa, I just had a dream where I was breaking into houses with joseph!" There were some other, much more interesting parts to that dream.. but those parts aren't going on the internet.

Unfortunately.. I tend to ramble with stories in general, so I think that most people don't like my dream-tellings. I'm trying to work on it..
