I´ve never seen this movie either, but I´ve heard it´s good.

Meryl Streep has never been my favorite actress either, but I´ve always admired just how incredibly good she is! I actually think she might be THE best around.

Nicole Kidman-good actress, but I simply can´t stand her no matter what. Don´t ask me why, I´ve always felt like this.

Oh! Ed Harris is a wonderful actor! Ever since I first saw him in that old 1980´s movie with Sally Field. I forgot the name of it, but it is terrific! I´d really recommend it (once I remember the title. lol!)- if you´d like...?

Yeah. Well I think whether one is the best or not, can be respected but not necessarily liked by everyone. It's really a matter of taste. What I do know is that ever since the Hours, I have liked her in everything I have seen her in. I was all "wtf" when I watched Mamma Mia, cause it made me think "Gee she can do this too?" lol I personally believe Meryl waddles between genres very well, but I wouldn't call her the best in every genre. She's versatile for sure, but I like her best in drama, with comedy a close second.

I used to like Nicole although I never became a full blown fan. But she alone wouldn't make me go see a movie. I recently read that some business insiders say she's been losing her mojo. At any rate, she was FABULOUS as Virginia Woolf.

I absolutely adore this movie. I really think it is one of the best films of the last decade. It is just perfect, thoughtful and deep and so sad. The cast and everything is flawless.

Yeah I agree, although I think it needs the right audience. It's really damn depressing, not everyone's into that kinda thing. But I think one should watch it for the acting performances alone. :)

No it definitely is not. You need to be into such kind of movies and you need to have time to appreciate it. But then that film is just brilliant and you´re hooked with it. I remember watching it for the first time. It took me over a day to get it out of my head. And all the performances were great. From Nicole Kidman as Virginia Woolf, over Meryl and Julianne Moore. All of them. And that little boy. Gosh.

Funny thing about that movie is that it was only after an hour into it that I grasped the 'connections' lol.
