i thought about joining the peace corps too
a friend of mine that i used to work with joined last year and she is now teaching biology in tanzania to young girls. her living conditions are unheard of to someone like you or me. she loves it though.

but there's plenty to be done here in the united states.
there's plenty of human rights causes to support.

You're right about there being plenty of things to do here. Whatever I do, I want to be able to reach out to people, and I guess I can do that right here. =)

Still, Peace Corp. sounds like an amazing experience. =) Your friend is very fortunate.

If you're really interested in joining the Peace Corps, Christian's mom teaches English to kids in Africa, you should talk to him about it. I don't think it's the Peace Corp that she's with, but any information is helpful.
