there are days where it is very hard to get up in the morning. not physically - though it sometimes feels like it - just mentally. sometimes emotionally. point is: there is very little motivation to start the morning up aside from the financial aspect. you know, since i like crazy little things like eating and having a roof over my head. but ( Read more... )

I understand where you're coming from, completely. And I think a lot of times, it is the little things. Whether it be daily inspiration emails or sitting outside with your lunch or something, it's the mundane things that let you remember that work is just one part of your life. Not your whole life. I'm also partial to the idea of mini-vacations. Just going somewhere for a day and exploring. That helped a lot. Hang in there, and remember you're doing this so you can do that.

Your own business! How exciting! That is the coolest name, btw. And really, the coolest idea. You both seem so motivated and willing to do the work, and that's half the battle. It kind of makes me laugh how many people think they'll just open up shop and boom! The entire town will magically wake up the next morning knowing there is a new shop in town and they'll be rich! Mind boggling. I know you guys will do great!

it's hard because my mind is always racing. whether i'm thinking about work or things that need to get done at home or arts and crafts projects that i want to work on... i just can't turn it off sometimes and it makes me just want to sleep all the time just so i can feel like i am relaxing. even then, i don't sleep well because i have vivid dreams that are stressful.

and even right now as i am complaining about being tired all the time, i keep thinking about how i'll be happier once we are finished moving so i can concentrate and get my projects done.

i really just need a spa day, i think.

on the weekend i usually have restaurant: impossible on in the background. while i know that the show is based on failing businesses, it makes us hopeful that we'll actually be able to pull this catering thing off. ...we'll see the people on the show that actually have a business (albeit, a failing business. but they had the ability to have a somehwat successful business at one point) and think well, we can do a much better job than that ( ... )
