SAME SEX MARRIAGE IS NOW LEGAL IN NEW YORK!!

I've always loved NY, and I'm more than proud to be a New Yorker. Anyone who knows me knows this. But now, I love New York even more... and I'm even prouder to be a New Yorker.

As soon as I found out the issue was coming up in NY I thought that it was pretty likely gonna get legalized.

Actually, it was a much closer vote than you would think... it was nearly tied. The thing is, while the City is (obviously) very, very liberal, upstate is much more conservative, and a good number of representatives from there are anti-gay marriage.

...That being said, we still did it! :D

I just found out about this. Damn you, Mass Effect for being so addictive and keeping me off the computer and away from the TV. But anyway, YES!!
