On a serious note? I'm sorry for the spam. But this story kind of had to be told.

So tonight at Brandeis, there was this major party called Pachanga. It's apparantly a huge deal, you have to buy tickets to get in, tickets are limited, they let in people from outside of Brandeis and everything. It's a pretty big thing.

Well, I'd like to point out that this is nowhere near the norm- this is the single biggest party night at Brandeis. This is not at all something that happens on a regular basis.

But it IS just such an AWESOME word!! XD

"pachanga" is a really Mexico-City coloquial way of saying "party"

a HUGE party would be a "pachangón"
(but my peeps and I don't use those words, unless we're joking... they're more common to Mexico City or... my parenst, LOL)

Wow, that's really pretty cool! I should bring that up in my Spanish class at some point, and see if my professor knows it. XD
