So I went to go see Next to Normal on Broadway yesterday.

The basic idea of the musical is that it's about a family trying to deal with the mother's literal insanity. No, she's actually insane. Delusions, severe depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder... she's got a lot going on. And her family is trying to deal with her mental

Oh man, it's really, really good. It's also really, really intense- they will go there. But it's also really good. And now I need the songbook SO badly like you don't even know!!

Ever since I saw one of the songs of Next to Normal preformed on the Tony's a while back, I've wanted to see it. For me, too, there's a lot of things I can relate to within the music personally, but also the subject is so ground breaking; I mean honestly did you ever think that there would be a musical about depression? I didn't. And hopefully this musical can help explain/show people who don't suffer from these mental disorders how much of a daily struggle it really is. (Although I hadn't realized the mother was going full-on crazy lol.)

Anyway, point is I'd love to see it, and I'm glad you saw it even if it was emotionally draining. And HUGS! Have some more hugs~ *hughughughughughughughughug*
