Death Note is an enjoyable manga as long as you don't take it seriously. Some of the fans and haters are so stupid and nitpicky that I want to slap them and tell them to just shut up and enjoy it and have some LOLs. Or shut up and go away. Either works.

That's why you're awesome. You're a good fan. Just try to stay away from the crazies, they might turn you off the series and that would fail because DN doesn't have enough cool fans. :D

But yeah, I rarely go into the fan communities of a fandom unless I'm completely up-to-date with the fandom anyway, so I should be okay. :D

It's okay in that it's not bad, and it'd be a great date movie or something, particularly if you're not seeing it at New York prices (here in NY, an adult movie ticket costs $12.50), but... it wasn't a GREAT movie.

I've heard varied things about the anime... some people say it's good, some say it's AWFUL. I'll probably check it out anyway... just because I can. XD
