Today, I was more charming and chatty than I think I have ever been in my life.  People here are so friendly - you don't even have to try, you just have to sit alone somewhere and look nice enough, and somebody will come over and introduce themselves.  It's been fun, and I've met some really cool people, but it's also felt kind of weirdly

You'll do fine, I'm sure. I mean, I'm already friends/acquaintances with most of my suitemates, and I'm much more sketchy than you are, and probably a lot less in practice dealing with normal people.

You actually were friends with normal people in high shcool, I looked down on them and saw them as plebian, stupid, and generally not worth my time. So yeah, you'll probably have more luck than I will...
