I'm glad you liked it! When Jo mentioned the sandalwood thing, I was just like "SWEET HEAVEN I HAVE TO INCLUDE THAT!" Ty Lee would totally be that friend who dragged you through all the stores in the mall. "LET'S TRY ON UNDERWEAR. LETS GET OUR NAILS DONE. LET'S BUY SHOES!"

Hee! Only whores wear sandalwood. That's one of those things where I wonder if Ty Lee is just clueless, or being VERY SLY. Maybe it's the voice actor, but I'm sure if her obsequiousness to Azula is genuine sucking-up, or a very oblique form of sarcasm.

ALSO, I love that Ty Lee terrifies Zuko and Sokka alike.

ITS REALLY REALLY HARD TO WRITE MAI WITHOUT WRITING IN ZUKO SOMEHOW. I'M NOT SURE HOW SHE DOES IT.

I like to think that Ty Lee THINKS she's being sly, but she's being so sly she's come back around the loop and is being really TOTALLY OBVIOUS about it. I just enjoy the idea that she knows whats best for Mai, damnit, whether Mai likes it or not.

AND HURRAH! I'm so happy you enjoyed it. BECAUSE YOU KNOW, that was like, my intention and everything :-D
