She appreciates Ed's interest! But she doesn't appreciate Ed thinking that he can give her directions after reading one dumb book. Because, no.

ED. I love him. Winry is so awesome in this fic, because, yes. She takes none of Ed's crap.

Winry would seriously LOVE to teach him, but she's kind of busy right now. And she's not putting up with Ed protesting "But the book says!" every time she tells him a fact, so yeah, none of that crap.

Oh Ed, try as you might, its probably best to leave Winry to her element (though she might end up killing the person who gave him the book LOL). Luv.

In my head, it was one of those thing where Ed was wandering around the house, bored, and picked up the book. And at first Winry was a little pleased, because she's always asked Ed to learn more about automail! Except he's doing this now AND IT'S REALLY UNFUNNY EDWARD.

:D Glad you liked! They are my favorite otp forever.

LOL XD oh God... Ed's brought on his own demise. Unlike alchemy, some things can't be learnt in one book-sitting for Mr Genius. Poor Winry XD

yay OTP ♥ :D

What tickled me was not just the interaction or the fact that Ed ooks so insulted. No, what makes me giggle the most is the fact that what you have them talking ABOUT is genuine and makes sense. (It's true: you really do have to use denser materials for obese patients. *insert geeky face here*)

Thanks! It's always fun to write them bouncing off of one another. I have some medical knowledge in my background, and when I try to comprehend the physiology of automail it kind of blows my mind. I wanted to pick something relatively simple for Ed to nag at Winry about <3 I'm relieved it rang true, thanks so much!

I'm in prosthetics so any time a fanfic writers addresses the physiology, I kind of spazz out...>.>

So thanks for giving me a reason to flail and squee. XD

Hahaha. My wife is a doctor and has a similarly scathing attitude to amateur loved ones popping in with their two cents. But, we have to listen to that geekery all day long? Can we be blamed for finally getting interested and cracking a book?

It's very Ed that he's got to be an instant expert, though. This was hilarious and very them.

Ed was trying to please Winry, he maintains! She's always nagging after him with his automail!

I had no idea how obnoxious I once was in x-ray school until the year behind me started and immediately made all the comments and insinuations and questions that I thought were *SOoOoO helpful!* when I was brand new. My secret opinion, however, is that Ed WOULD find automail pretty interesting - he's always been pretty fascinated and in awe of human biology and physiology (remember his canon awe for mommies?)
