I have literally been watching nothing but Firefly straight since noon today. Thirteen hours straight. Jubal Early is one of the scariest motherfuckers ever conceived in anything ever. The end. The whole "Have you ever been raped?" conversation with Kaylee to the whole "Am I a lion?" conversation with Simon just... brr. Chills

THIS! JOSS WHEDON IS MY LIFE AND EVERY DAY SHOULD INCLUDE A MANDATORY FIREFLY MARATHON. AND ZOE SHOULD JUST BE SUPREME LORD OF THE UNIVERSE, AND THE BAD SPOILERY THNG THAT HAPPENS IN THE MOVIE SHOULD NOT HAPPEN.

Serenity just didn't happen. Same way The Lost Hero just didn't happen. I AM HAPPY IN DENIAL LAND.

I DID NOT KNOW THAT YOU LIVE IN DENIAL LAND TOO. For seriously, Lost Hero is a bad fanfic that got published in RR's name because someone tied him up and locked him in their basement, and Serenity is only the name of their firefly. There is no Serenity movie. It's just a name. (do not contradict me or I will go into a trance and kill you with my brain)

I might have to finally invest in the DVDs. I had no idea how much I'd missed it until I sat down and watched it all again.

So as awesome as this post is, it's reminding me that I no longer have Firefly available for me to watch (unless the library is awesome and has TV shows as well as movies).

BUT, ANYWAY, YES, JUBAL EARLY IS TERRIFYING D: ABSOLUTELY TERRIFYING. And Zoeeee ):

I'm pretty sure it's just time for me to buy them... I had forgotten how much I love the series. But yeah, Jubal Early scared the crap out of me. It was the last episode and like, two am, so I curled up in bed with the lights off and the remote control so I could just go to bed once it was over and holy shit I almost turned the lights back on. Thank god I wasn't home alone.

Oh man, the blu-rays for Firefly were on sale on Amazon for like $30 a week before Christmas. I sat there staring at my screen for a full five minutes before I was able to talk myself out of buying them (WE ALREADY OWN THE SERIES ON DVD, AND I STILL STRUGGLED WITH THAT DECISION).

I am so relieved I do not yet own a blu ray player so that I don't have to deal with this conundrum yet. This may have to go on my birthday list this year. Or Christmas. I JUST THINK I NEED OWN THEM, YOU KNOW?
