I went to register for my fall courses at the college. I took the whole day off to do it, too, even though I knew it probably wouldn't take me that long, lol...so now I get to goof off the rest of the day ( Read more... )

I don't know Visual Basic; my Basic is from long before everything was GUI and I've forgotten 99% of that.

However, I coded COBOL professionally for decades and I'm Java certified (on an antique version). COBOL is easy. It does everything for you. Java is a bit harder because it's a slightly different way of thinking and there's an enormous API but your IDE will help with that. C and its variants are what intimidate me.
