A co-worker of mine whom I've known and been friends with for more than five years lost her son in a car accident a few weeks ago. I can sympathize with you and your Mom in a way, because I've seen how hard it is to cope with the death a family member, and since your Mom knew her friend for 15 years, I'm sure they felt like extended family to each other. I've sat with my friend and just cried with her because no words will fix what happened. Give your mom a hug and be there for her. That's all you can do. :)

And I saw your update last night on Mediaminer. I enjoyed reading it and laughed even though poor Inuyasha is under such stress. I look forward to reading more about Miroku's mental abuse of the clueless hanyou and I really hope Inuyasha and Kagome stumble into a closer relationship because of it. ^_^

Your poor friend. Losing your child has got to be one of the hardest things. I can't even imagine what your friend is going through.

My mother has been spending a lot of time with her friend's daughters (both grown with children of their own) and helping them as much as possible. I know it is hard on her to feel that she has to be strong for someone else, but maybe it is also helping her in a way.

I'm glad you liked the chapter. ^_^ I got a notice of your review this morning when I got on the computer, and just seeing your name made me smile, because I love getting reviews from you.

Hopefully I'll find some more time to write before I leave on my trip next week. I'd certainly rather write than study for my test on Monday...

I sympathize with you guys. I lost my own father to cancer when I was 13 and my little brother was twelve. His cancer had been getting worse but he always recovered...except that one time.

It's hard to deal with this stuff. It's really hard.

I'm sorry.

That's sad about your father. I know it is hard on my mother to lose such a good friend, but I know losing a close family member is on a whole other level. I'm sorry. :(

Bah, I'm all right Artie-san. I'm alright, even if it still does hurt.
