While proof-reading a text I found the name of Gaius in some Inscriptions, yeah, of course it's the name of Gaius Julius Caesar Augustus Germanicus ( 31 12 August CE - 24 41 January CE), more commonly known by his cognomen Caligula (wikipedia). But I thought it is funny to see the name written in Hieroglyphs!

Hee! It could be like Gaius Baltar because.. eh..

Actually I've got nothing. It looks like drum sticks at the bogtom and knives at the top. But it's pretty cool.

Can you read hieroglyphs? :o

Ha ha, what, you can not read? Of course can I read! All jokes aside, yeah, this is the original hieroglyphic realization of the Name "Gaius". And it shows only the consonants of the name (vowels have not been written). The first sign at the top is a sandy hill-slope, followed by two flowering reeds, and the last horizontal sign is a bolt. The name is not spectacular, I know, but you can imagine, that I was laughing inside myself, every time I saw it at the spot!
