term paper! fan fiction and the academy
I know, all of you are dying to read my term papers. RIGHT?? :P But I think this one's fun. It's all about fanfic, pop fiction, and the EVIL ACADEMY THAT'S HOLDING THEM DOWN!! lol It's full of generalizations and highly wrought language, but it makes a point. :)

I remember that "myth kitty" phrase from Pugh and used it in my book chapter.
I remember being in a Bible study in undergrad when The Passion of the Christ came out and everyone else saw it before me. They were worried about spoiling it for me, and I was like, "You do realize I read the book..."

i heard a story about somebody who went to see the passion of the christ, and at the end of the movie as people were going out, this one guy stood up and was like, "eh, i liked the book better." and somebody else was like, "THERE'S A BOOK?? O_O" *facepalm*
