(no subject)
On Thursdays I don't have anything after teaching and office hours first thing in the morning. So it becomes a homework day. I felt like I spent most of yesterday snacking, but I *did* actually accomplish something: I started my term paper for my intellectual freedom course and actually pumped out 10 1/2 pgs! (The paper needs to be ~20.) I'm not entirely sure how I did it. After I finish the first draft on that one, the next mission will be the term paper for my little magazines class (5000 words, =~16 pgs), because I've got most of it figured out, too. It's the term paper for my books/things class (15-20 pgs) that's going to be a pain; what I want to do will probably mostly be based on close reading, but there's kind of a need there for a bit of theory, and I've got a lot of sources to read through: not only did I put a whole list of them on the prospectus I had to turn in, but my prof suggested some more. Yeesh. Ah well. Twenty percent-ish of term paper first draft material written!
