have you ever seen Anne Frank Remembered?It has that footage and so much more. you can buy it on dvd. it is an awesome film. also you need to read The Hidden Life of Otto Frank by Carol Ann Lee. I couldn't put it down. it's a biography about Otto and the relationships he had that ultimately led to the betrayal to the nazis.
Camera Obscura is awesome. So is Ratatat. I'm sure you've heard of most of these, but I think you'd like black box recorder (you will love them), cibo matto, of montreal, clouddead, freezepop, my bloody valentine, HORSE the band, les savy fav, lush, rick bain and the genius position, ride, stars, mojave 3, starsailor, the silent league, the helio sequence, yo la tengo, mercury rev, twilight singers (my favorite band. ever.), wolfgang press, and zykos. Sorry I had to do that, I'm a loser :)
