A Thanksgiving present for geekmama, who asked for a drabble in my other PotC series, the American Revolution story, with Flipper Turner's alter ego, James Swann. It's a little longer than a drabble, about a thousand words.

I see Elizabeth *did* make a honest woman out of Jack! ;) Also, I'm worried about where Will is, if Elizabeth has dragged Jack and Jamie to *France* for the sake of politics...

She did indeed! And well you should worry about Will. He's in a lot of trouble just then, which Jack and Elizabeth are doing their best to extricate him from.

Interesting how she thinks Jamie is Jack's son, based on appearance as well as reputation. I somehow picture Will at 40 looking much like the Depp. *snicker*

I like the historical references to status and mores, and of course I always like seeing Jamie and the Big Three (or some combination thereof) tied up in some adventure or other. (And nearly-adult!Jamie - I bet he's quite a sight for a young woman ...)

Jamie's in a bind, because he told the Adams' that Captain Turner was a friend of his parents, and that his father was Captain John Swann. So now he can't tell Dr. Franklin anything different!

Will, however, is in big trouble, which is why his family is playing this complicated game....

Eeee! This is great, so wonderful to dip back into this universe for a little while. Lovely to see Jamie grown up, and Elizabeth still politicking away (I'm wondering where Will is too...). And is that a baby Honoré I spy...? *g*

I'm happy you enjoyed it! Jamie is a lot of fun at sixteen, and well you should wonder where Will is! He's in a lot of trouble just then, which they're trying to extricate him from.

And that is indeed baby Honore you spy! It's a long time yet before he's a Marshal of France! But in about six years he's going to be sent to school in France, and spends his holidays with Ettienne. Until he runs off from school at seventeen to join the cavalry....

Much, much too short!! I love this universe of yours. It was one of the first fics that I actually felt was a very fitting and believable future for them all.

I do hope that there will be more in the future. :)
