I liked it. Very Zelda/Secret of Mana/Terranigma-ish style gameplay. I think the best part of it is the gameplay mechanic with the dotted line and the cursor.

Really, the controls (at least in my perspective) are the thing that we're trying to get the most feedback out of. Some people were (incorrectly) interpreting it as more of a 'point and click' type of adventure (i.e. move where the mouse goes instead of the keyboard input), but that wouldn't allow the strafing/move and attack in different directions play method we're going for. We will have short in-game tutorials to clear that up to those that need it cleared up.

I understand it’s a very early demo, so please don’t take most of these crits too harshly.

I also wanted to add on the weapon changes that YES when the weapon itself upgrades i.e. you get a better sword from your previous one, you will be able to tell the difference graphically.
