Blacks are ridiculous. Victims of discrimination in the past, yet we want to forget that and frown upon same-sex marriages. I was so fucking disappointed you don't even know.

In slavery times they tried to use the bible to hold us back too... so great job black folk... real winners... -.-

It's not discrimination as long as it's not "your guy".

*sighs* This.

Unlike all other ethnic cultures in America, Black culture has the extra burden of considering things like prison culture, "The Down Low", "saggers" and the contribution of all of these to the further challenge the integrity of the Black family in America.

Understand, none of the above are reasons to vote against marriage equality, (interesting new name for the "same sex marriage" controversy... kudos to the think tank that cleaned that one up...)
however, they all contribute to the mindset of Black voters how would perceive such unions to be "a bad thing". More specifically, how homosexuality in Black culture is not considered to be a "lifestyle choice" but rather as yet another threat to the well-being of young black children who are already "at-risk" to almost everything out there to be "at-risk" to.

Latinos would be too however, they were even. Worse off they're Catholic.

I think some of the mindset may make sense if taken at face value, but a lot of Black culture really do need to stop making excuses and look at their own values, not look for blames.

I'm sure there's a comment about California and there being an even split between the registered Latino voters to be made here...

But yeah, BLACK PEOPLE. ˜\(o__O)/˜

Hey we gotta address the attitudes, doesn't mean I am not proud of Blacks that turned out in higher numbers to vote. I gotta say though after going through so much it does feel like a step back when we discriminate against another group.

Um, there aren't enough black homo celebrities to make it acceptable to African-Americans?

I don't think Antoine and, uh, whoever that other guy's name was on In Living Color count...

I dunno.
