I got to meet Gabriel Gudding on wednesday (The Defense of Poetry and rhode island notebook). He's not as sarcastic as his poetry makes him out to be and he gave a solid reading of the the title poem from his first book. He almost cried before he read though. I think the turn out was surprising (certainly surprised me).
